Uber Eats to offer benefits for SNAP recipients by 2024

NATIONWIDE – Uber announced Thursday that they will introduce new features to help save money, and time.

According to the release, Uber hopes to bring fresh and healthy foods to households, especially for the most vulnerable–including people living in food deserts, seniors, and those facing disabilities or transportation barriers. 

SNAP recipients will have the ability to use their benefits to access fresh groceries conveniently from the app in 2024.

Uber is also woking with Managed Medicaid and Medicare Advantage plans to support benefits that help members stay healthy. Among the plans, they hope to link FSA Cards, Flex Cards, and relevant waiver payments on Uber. 

Among the new technology improvements, Uber will have AI assistant to explore new dishes and cuisines, find deals on popular restaurants.
