COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — The Collier County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) confirmed Thursday that a Naples man was arrested by the FBI for his involvement in the January 6 Capitol riot after a search warrant was executed to his house.
Naples man Christopher Worrell, 52, was arrested by the FBI with the help of CCSO.
According to the Department of Justice (DOJ), Worrell was tried and found guilty on seven counts in 2021, including assaulting law enforcement officials and bringing a deadly weapon into the Capitol building.

The DOJ requested the judge in federal court to sentence Worrell to 14 years, one of the largest prison sentences for any January 6 offender.
According to the FBI, Worrell was wanted for violating conditions of release pending sentencing.
Worrell has been on house arrest since his release post-conviction in 2021.
