The Phillies have officially clinched a spot in the MLB playoffs and will host a best-of-three Wild Card series starting Oct. 3. To celebrate Red October, Miller Lite is giving away free beer during Tuesday’s game at 26 bars in Philadelphia and the city’s surrounding suburbs.
Starting after the opening pitch, fans who are 21 or older can get one free 12-ounce Miller Lite at participating locations. In Philly, those bars include Tradesman’s, Wicked Wolf, Oscar’s Tavern, Locust Rendezvous, Gallo’s and Gaul & Co. Malthouse.

Miller Lite ran a similar promotion with 19 bars last postseason for the first game of the World Series between the Phillies and the Houston Astros.
The day before the Eagles played the New York Giants in the NFL playoffs in January, Miller Lite gave away free beer at more than 70 bars in the Philly area.
In August, ahead of the NFL season, Miller Lite began selling Kelly green cases of beer that say “Fly Eagles Fly” and feature an old-school Birds logo.
The Phils advanced to the postseason Tuesday night when Johan Rojas hit a walk-off single for a 3-2 victory against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Tickets to see potential post-Wild Card playoff games at Citizens Bank Park will be available through a lottery drawing; fans can enter at the Phillies’ website.
Tuesday’s game will be available to watch on ABC, ESPN and ESPN2 at a to-be-determined time, according to the MLB’s postseason schedule. The Phils will take on the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Miami Marlins or the Chicago Cubs for a chance to advance to the National League Divisional Series.
