Georgios Koutsias scored in the 64th minute, Chris Brady made two saves for his eighth clean sheet of the season and the Chicago Fire beat the New York Red Bulls 1-0 on Saturday night in Harrison, N.J.

The Fire (9-12-10) haven’t lost in their last three road matches against the Red Bulls, with two wins. New York (8-13-10), coming off a 5-3 win over D.C. United, hasn’t won consecutive regular-season games since late August of last season.

Koutsias headed in Xherdan Shaqiri’s cross for the Fire’s first shot of the game.

Julian Hall made MLS history for the Red Bulls. At 15 years, 190 days, Hall became the second-youngest player to debut in an MLS match, trailing former D.C. United star Freddy Adu at 14 years, 306 days.

Both teams next play Wednesday. The Fire host Inter Miami at Soldier Field, with Lionel Messi’s status uncertain. Messi was scratched from the Miami lineup before Saturday’s 1-1 tie with New York City FC and has missed four of the club’s last five matches, plus another for Argentina in that span, with a leg injury.

The Red Bulls visit Cincinnati on Wednesday.

Bianca St-Georges scored the lone goal as the Chicago Red Stars won 1-0 at home against Racing Louisville to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Louisville had two shots ping off the crossbar before the Red Stars scored in the 33rd minute.

Julia Bianchi slipped a pass to St-Georges on the right wing, and the midfielder carried the ball into the box before slotting her shot into the near-post corner from a tight angle.

Louisville was initially given a penalty kick in the 59th minute, but the foul was waved off after a long video review.

Just before the final whistle, Casey Kreuger slid to clear a ball right in front of the goal to hold Racing scoreless.

Louisville (5-6-9) finished with 22 shots, while Alyssa Naeher made five saves to earn the shutout win.

The Red Stars (7-10-3) have lost only once in their last seven matches.
