A softshell turtle was taken to the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) after it was found bleeding on the side of the road on Tuesday.
According to CROW, when the animal was admitted, staff noticed a few older injuries.
Radiographs were taken to make sure the turtle did not have any fractures.
The turtle was placed in a large tank to make sure it could float.
