We have another fun-filled day ahead of us today! We started with a seasonable morning, as temperatures settled into the middle and lower 70s under mainly clear skies. By the afternoon we’ll reach highs in the lower 90s and upper 80s. We’ll be tracking a few showers this afternoon and evening, bubbling up on the sea breeze as it builds in from the Gulf. While rain coverage will be sparse, a few unlucky spots will see at least brief heavy rainfall — with rain chances peaking during the afternoon and quickly winding down by sunset. 

Expect another warm and sunny day Saturday with highs in the low 90s. A cold front will dive through the area Saturday evening, bringing a couple of showers, and helping to usher in cooler-than-average weather for Sunday and Monday! For many spots, the front will bring the first 60s of the Fall Monday morning! 

Tracking the Tropics:

Tropical Storm Philippe remains weak and disorganized as it pulls away from the Caribbean.  It will track just east of Bermuda tonight, and will then will head for coastal Canada and New England as a non-tropical low this weekend.

The NHC is also monitoring another wave that will move off the coast of Africa Friday. It has a medium chance of developing as it treks to the WNW next week. If it takes a name, it would be Sean. We’ll be watching it, but at this point, it is unlikely to pose any type of threat to the U.S. or Florida.
