Mounties in Prince George are looking into a “suspicious” situation that occurred at a local high school on Wednesday afternoon.
The Prince George RCMP says a teenage girl who wasn’t known to anyone at College Heights Secondary School was dropped off by a black pickup truck at around 12:20 p.m. Shortly after, a silver sedan stopped near the girl — she started walking away before being guided into the vehicle by a man who had been inside it.
Police say a man and woman from the silver sedan told witnesses they were the girl’s parents.
“Witnesses still felt it warranted a call to the police. We are now looking to speak with anyone who can identify the owners of either vehicle or the youth involved in this file so we can check on her wellbeing,” Cpl. Jennifer Cooper stated in a release.
Mounties are currently investigating the incident and are hoping to learn more about the identities of everyone involved.
Police ask anyone who can identify the girl or provide any further information on the matter to call the Prince George RCMP non-emergency line at 250-561-3300 and quote file number 2023-35602.
