CAPE CORAL, Fla. — A road rage incident turned violent on Southeast 25th Terrace in Cape Coral. Wayne Perry was charged with battery after he followed a man home and started hitting him with a golf club.
The man told NBC2 he was driving in the Cape Tuesday afternoon when Perry, 62, cut him off.
He was frustrated so he shook his head, which infuriated Perry.
The man said Perry then followed him home and wouldn’t leave.
Both the victim and Perry ended up calling the police, but only after they got into a fight.
The man said at some point Perry grabbed a golf club and started swinging. He fought back but ended up with a broken finger. Meanwhile, Perry was left with a black eye and a cut above his eyebrow.
