In its war on Israel, Hamas is happy to sacrifice every last Palestinian in Gaza.

Indeed, the terror group’s leaders are now bragging of how they spent years convincing Jerusalem that they were eager to build a functional government in Gaza — simply to set up last weekend’s barbaric surprise attacks on Israeli civilians.

Israel repeatedly notifies the Gazan population via airdropped leaflets about the areas it is going to attack, giving them plenty of time to evacuate. 

But Hamas orders civilians to stay put: “We tell the people of northern Gaza and from Gaza City, stay put in your homes, and your places.”

In other words, Hamas wants them all as human shields, with every Palestinian life lost another propaganda victory.

Gaza now has no power or water: Israel has turned them off until the hostages Hamas took come home.  

They could be flowing once more in a matter of hours. But that doesn’t matter to Hamas. 

Hamas has used Al-Shifa Hospital — the Strip’s largest — as a de facto headquarters; Amnesty International says Palestinian dissidents have been tortured and murdered there.  

It hides ordnance in mosques and schools as a matter of standard operating procedure, knowing that doing so places innocent lives at risk. 

It constructs access points to its fearsome tunnel network, a honeycombed terrorist warren beneath the city, in densely populated civilian areas. 

Its weapons squads dig up water pipes to convert into rockets, leaving the Palestinians whose liberation Hamas is allegedly fighting for to suffer and possibly die of dehydration. 

Its executioners summarily kill “traitors” (i.e., anyone the organization views as a threat) and Palestinians who voluntarily sell land to Israelis.

And to top it all off, Hamas’ major leadership cadre, including former head Khaled Meshaal, live lives of luxury in Doha, Qatar, as they blithely command not only their terror legions but all Palestinians to die for their genocidal ideology.

Remember that the next time Hamas (or any of its supporters) invokes Palestinian liberation. They aren’t fighting for Palestinians. They are killing them.
