LEE COUNTY, Fla. — A Fort Myers man is in custody following a stabbing in Tice Friday night.
According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Mateo Luis Jesus attacked a victim around 12:00 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 19, and ran away.
Jesus was reportedly arrested after stabbing someone in a Tice neighborhood off Flamingo Circle.
Neighbors said deputies lined their street around midnight Friday night, and they’ve been on edge ever since.
“They got their drones, and they were going around to see what happened, to see if that person was still there,” explained Baltilcia Paquedo, who lives next door.
LCSO said there were no life-threatening injuries, and this was an isolated incident.
Jesus is now in custody at the Lee County Jail and faces charges with one count of aggravated assault.
This is still an active investigation.
