It’s going to be another nice day all across SWFL!
We’re starting our Wednesday with a clear and comfortable start. Sunrise temperatures will settle into the middle and upper 60s for most, with a steady ENE breeze making it feel a few degrees cooler than that. With mostly sunny skies to start the day, temperatures will climb quickly as we head through the morning and into the afternoon. Highs will reach the middle and upper 80s for most. Low humidity will keep it feeling relatively comfortable despite the above average temperatures.
It will be fairly breezy through the afternoon as well, with 10-20mph winds working out of the ENE. This will lead to rough boating conditions today, and a Small Craft Advisory is in effect until early tomorrow morning. The winds will also help to drag a few showers across the state, though any rain will be light and passing in nature and highly isolated in coverage.
The mainly dry, sunny, breezy and warm weather will continue through Friday and the weekend. Highs will hold in the upper 80s with no significant rain expected throughout.
Tracking the tropics:
Hurricane Tammy reached category 2 status in the central Atlantic this morning. It track northward and then turn back to the west, meandering near Bermuda as a non-non tropical low by the weekend and next week. It is not a threat to us locally.
Hurricane season continues through the end of November.
