2 Chicago Heights men shot to death Saturday

Two Chicago Heights men were shot to death Saturday at the same location, with the homicides came two days after the shooting deaths of two other men in town.

Separately, the Cook County medical examiner’s office reported the shooting death of a Chicago man Saturday in Lansing.

Daniel Licea, 55, and Alberto Villanueva, 30, both of the 600 block of West 15th Place in Chicago Heights, were shot in the 250 block of West 10th Street, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Both were taken to Franciscan Health Olympia Fields, and Villanueva died shortly before 10 p.m. of multiple gunshot wounds and Licea died a few minutes after 10 p.m. of a gunshot wound to the chest, according to the office. Both deaths were ruled homicides.

The pair of homicides came on the heels of the shooting deaths of two men Thursday in Chicago Heights.

Caleb Trotter, 23, of the 800 block of Latimer Lane in Flossmoor, and 51-year-old Rolando Strong, of the 500 block of Andover Street in Chicago Heights, were shot in the head Thursday in the 500 block of West 14th Street in Chicago Heights, according to the medical examiner’s office.

Trotter was pronounced dead shortly before 11:30 p.m. Thursday at Franciscan Health Olympia Fields Hospital, and Strong was pronounced at 12:06 a.m. Friday at South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, according to the medical examiner.

Chicago Heights police did not return calls regarding either set of homicides.

The medical examiner’s office reported that Deandre Quick, 36, of the 500 block of East 35th Street in Chicago, suffered a gunshot wound to the back in the 17000 block of Torrence Avenue in Lansing and died Saturday.

Quick was pronounced at 4:14 a.m. Saturday at the University of Chicago Medical Center and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the office.

Additional information about the homicide was not immediately available from police.
