Two teens, one of them a 15-year-old boy, was arrested Tuesday in connection with a string of smash and grab robberies throughout the city, Chicago police said.

After gaining video surveillance footage from one of the burglaries, police sent out a description of the vehicle being used to media outlets. Officers in the 9th District saw the vehicle while out on patrol and pulled it over.

A 15-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man were arrested, police said.

The man was charged with five felony counts of burglary and one count of attempted armed robbery. The boy was handed four felony counts of burglary.

Detectives continue to investigate, and anyone with information on the burglaries was asked to contact police.
