CAPE CORAL, Fla. — A Cape Coral retirement community honored its veterans this week.

On Thursday, Gulf Coast Village hosted its annual Veterans Day service. They have 59 residents who are veterans of all branches of the military.

The service included a welcome ceremony, color guard performances, a medal of honor ceremony, and much more.

Veterans also shared their personal stories.

There are Veterans Day events all around Southwest Florida this weekend to show gratitude for the men and women who have served our country.
