CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — A Charlotte County K-9 has officially been retired from the sheriff’s office.
According to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), the agency is retiring K-9 deputy Scar due to a medical issue.
Scar joined CCSO in March of 2017 and was partnered with Cpl. Steven Sella. Scar helped find illegal narcotics and busted several suspects during his tenure.
CCSO said Scar is in Cpl. Sella’s care.
Scar was also the “K-9 brother” of beloved bloodhound Copper.
Copper won Florida’s deputy dog ‘March Madness’ tournament back in April.
