FORT MYERS, Fla. — A man was arrested after attempting to rob a Fort Myers barbershop and stabbing a worker.

The Lee County Sherriff’s Office (LCSO) responded to a robbery at HQ Men’s Haircuts on South Cleveland Avenue early Saturday morning.

“It definitely scared me because the first thing I heard was that he was stabbed in the neck,” HQ Men’s Haircuts owner Nicolette Losh.

Duncan Ray Greggersen entered the barbershop masked while the victim counted the money at the night’s end.

According to LCSO, Greggersen attacked the victim while attempting to take the cash.

During the struggle, the suspect stabbed the victim in the neck with a knife.

“Sal comes back out and goes down on his knees, and then that’s when I run out to him to see what’s going on,” HQ Men’s Haircuts employee Ally Landreth said. “His mouth was all bloody, and he was in shock.”

The victim was able to defend himself by disarming him.

“Sal took the knife from the attacker like blade in hand, and he’s a G for doing that, man. He messed with the wrong guy,” Landreth said.

Greggersen then fled the scene.

Deputies found Greggersen in the surrounding area shortly after.

The victim was transported to Gulf Coast Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

“You’re an idiot, I really hope you learned your lesson, and I really hope you get what’s coming to you,” Landreth said.

Duncan Ray Greggersen was charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon, Robbery with a Weapon, and False Name to LEO pursuant.
