The Vancouver Police Department says it is looking for a man with a serious brain injury who left Vancouver General Hospital Saturday and has not returned.
Police say 46-year-old Peter Laxton was last seen around 5:30 a.m. leaving the hospital near Oak Street and West 12th. He hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
He is unlikely to find his way home or ask for assistance, according to police.
Laxton can walk short distances but tires easily and has an unsteady gait, police say. He also has limited mobility in his right arm.
He is five-foot-two and 157 pounds with blue eyes, balding brown hair, and light facial stubble. When last seen, he was dressed in a grey hat, green pullover sweater, black jacket, black sweatpants, and black shoes with orange soles.
Police are asking anyone who sees Laxton or has any information on his whereabouts to call 911.
