After another chilly start, much warmer weather will begin to settle back into the area today.
Temperatures settled into the middle and lower 50s at sunrise this morning — but have already started to climb with all the sunshine we’re enjoying this morning. Look for temperatures to climb into the 70s by lunchtime, and settle into the upper 70s and lower 80s by the mid-afternoon. No rain is expected today.
The warming trend will continue as we head through Friday and the weekend. We’ll leave the chilly mornings behind as lows will settle into the 60s for most by sunrise, and the afternoons will be quite warm for December with highs jumping back into the lower and middle 80s. Higher humidity will work back in as well, but rain chances will look to stay low save for a few highly isolated afternoon showers.
Another cold front will dive into the area Monday — and this will help to usher in a fresh shot of chilly air by the middle of next week.
