FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. — A local history museum has announced the return of a beloved exhibit.
The Mound House museum on Fort Myers Beach has partially reopened its “Stories Beneath Our Feet” exhibit Friday.
In a Facebook post, the Mound House said the exhibit was completely submerged in saltwater during Hurricane Ian. However, crews have completed the repairs to reopen the exhibit to visitors.
Plans to bring in new components to enhance the visitor experience are in the works too.
The Mound House said the exhibit will be open at the same time as the rest of the museum. Hours run Wednesday through Saturday from 9 AM to 4 PM.
