It’s time for Dodger baseball in Los Angeles, and that means a fresh look at the food and beverage options inside Dodger Stadium at Chavez Ravine. Last season ended in disappointment for Major League Baseball’s biggest spenders, but this offseason made up for it with nearly $1.8 billion of contracts spent on two-way star Shohei Ohtani, Japanese ace pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto, slugger Teoscar Hernandez, and pitcher Tyler Glasnow. Fan favorite Kiké Hernandez is back while catcher Will Smith was given a 10-year, $140 million extension, effectively making him a Dodger for life. Those players join stars Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, and Clayton Kershaw (who should return from injury later this year), making this perhaps the most exciting Dodger lineup of all time.

Though the baseball season already started for the Dodgers with a special two-game series in Seoul, South Korea, local fans get to see the home team start today in Los Angeles. Concessions operator Levy Restaurants has continued adding new dishes to keep fans interested, which isn’t quite near the top of baseball’s stadium food but continues to move upward. What’s new at Dodger Stadium for 2024

With the arrival of two of the biggest Japanese baseball players in the world — Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto — it comes as no surprise that the new concessions will lean heavily on Japanese food.

Here are the new Japanese food additions to know about:

Arash Markazi

• Tsukiji Gindaco — Takoyaki (octopus balls), sake, and the usual complement of Dodger dogs, cheesesteaks, and garlic fries.
• Delicious Hospitality — Chicken katsu sandwich, vegetable tempura, skewer platter, sushi, and short rib bowl, plus pretzels and more. The name is likely a play on Shohei Ohtani’s batting role as the DH, or designated hitter.
• Kurobuta pork sausage dogs, kurobuta yakisoba dogs, miso ginger salad, and chicken katsu bowl served at LA Feeds Blue.

A new stand in Left Field Plaza:

• LA Feeds Blue is a brand new concessions stand in Left Field Plaza that will serve dishes that depend on each game’s matchup, with specialty items for heritage games and other celebrations. But every game it’ll still serve grilled Dodger dogs, popcorn, sodas, peanuts, and beer.
