“Hold Fast,” an exhibit exploring San Diego’s kelp forests and climate change, runs through Monday, Sept. 2, at Birch Aquarium, 2300 Expedition Way, La Jolla. The show features works of local photographer and marine scientist Oriana Poindexter, gyotaku prints created by artist Dwight Hwang and kelp forest mapping by Scripps Institution of Oceanography Ph.D. student Mohammad Sedarat.
