At least three pedestrians fell victim to armed-robbers traveling in a black SUV overnight on the North Side, Chicago police said.
The first robbery happened about 10:30 p.m. Monday in the 700 block of West Roscoe Street in the Lakeview neighborhood.
A 25-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk when three males exited a black SUV and took his cellphone and wallet at gunpoint, police said.
Thirty minutes later, a 51-year-old man walking in the 900 block of Lakeside Place in the Uptown neighborhood was robbed. The armed thieves exited a black SUV and demanded his groceries and cellphone, police saiid.
Shortly after 11:30. p.m., a 24-year-old man was walking in the 1500 block of West Berteau Avenue when armed robbers took his wallet and cellphone.
No one was injured during the robberies. and detectives were investigating.
