CAPE CORAL, Fla. – A baby squirrel was taken to the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) after being found alone in Cape Coral.
According to a social media post, the Eastern Gray Squirrel was dehydrated and thin but alert.
Unlike birds, stated CROW, squirrels can retrieve their babies if they have fallen from their nest. A baby animal’s best chance of survival is always with their parents/families.
CROW asks that if you see an infant squirrel needing help, contact the hospital at (239) 472-3644 ext 222.
