Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy posted a six-minute rant on social media in which he blasted Vice President Kamala Harris as “the worst presidential candidate in the history of American politics.”

“I am so sick of being gaslighted like she’s some great candidate,” the multi-millionaire said in a video on Sunday.

“Look at the world stage. Afghanistan was a disaster, the Middle East is basically in flames, you got Russia,” Portnoy said. “Then on the homeland, inflation’s out of control, people burning American flags in the streets…law and order doesn’t even seem to matter anymore, you got border, immigration.”

Portnoy – who has an estimated net worth around $150 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth – built his wealth by selling his media company Barstool Sports for $551 million in 2023 and buying it back for just $1 later that year

Barstool started as a Boston-based print publication and has since grown into a social media empire.

“Every once in a while, I get so fed up with politics, I got to do a rant and just let steam off. I try not to, but I’ve hit the boiling point,” Portnoy said in his video.

“It’s the gaslighting that the left is doing with Kamala Harris, making it sound like she’s some great, groundbreaking candidate,” he said. “She is the worst candidate to ever run for president ever.”

“El Presidente,” as Portnoy calls himself, was a “big fan” of former Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley during her presidential run.

Since Haley dropped out of the race in March, he has issued his support for former president Donald Trump. Though Portnoy ranted against Harris in his video, he prefaced that he does not like celebrity endorsements.

The business mogul argued there are only two kinds of voters in the 2024 presidential election: those that are voting for Trump, and those that “hate” Trump and are voting against him.

Americans who vote for Harris are “voting against him [Trump] because you hate his guts and you’d vote for a potato or a head of lettuce or anything,” Portnoy said.

One of Portnoy’s biggest gripes with Harris is that she is campaigning as a candidate for change.

At multiple rallies, Harris has told the crowds that “it’s time to turn the page.”

“This is the sitting vice president of the United States currently, saying she’s the candidate for change,” Portnoy said.

He argued that Harris “has to” present herself as a candidate for change because most people agree that the last four years under President Joe Biden were a “disaster.”

Portnoy also slammed Harris’ recent media blitz, including appearances on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” and “The View.”

“She’s being asked the most simplest questions, softballs that she probably knew were coming,” he said.

For example, he said, Harris has been asked on a few talk shows how her presidency will differ from Biden’s.

“She cannot answer it!” Portnoy exclaimed. “Kamala Harris can’t even answer the easiest questions of all time. She never gives a straight answer. She doesn’t seem to be able to put coherent thoughts together.”
