After five short years in Dublin, Lucky Supermarkets will permanently close its East Bay store next month.

The Lucky store located at the Fallon Gateway Shopping Center in Dublin is expected to shutter on Nov. 3 due to slow foot traffic, Pleasanton Weekly reported Wednesday. The grocery store, which was built from the ground up, first opened in 2018.

It’s unclear how many employees will be affected by the upcoming closure. SFGATE reached out to parent company The Save Mart Companies and the Dublin Lucky for comment but did not hear back by publication.

The Dublin Lucky debuted in March 2018. At the time of opening, The Save Mart Companies said in a statement that the Lucky store was its “first all new grocery store” to launch in nearly a decade.

Lucky continues to operate multiple stores across the Bay Area, with several stores found in San Jose and Fremont alone.
