Brian Austin Green slams ‘DWTS’ over fiancée Sharna Burgess

Brian Austin Green is calling out “Dancing With the Stars” for allegedly excluding his fiancée and pro dancer Sharna Burgess from the show’s Len Goodman tribute on Tuesday.

“I can’t begin to tell you how disappointed I was for @sharnaburgess to not be invited for the tribute last night,” the “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum wrote Wednesday in an Instagram post.

Burgess, who appeared on the show for 14 seasons, was not asked to return to “DWTS” this year. The show is currently in its 32nd season.

Goodman, a legend in ballroom dance and longtime “DWTS” judge, died in April at age 78 after prostate cancer spread to his bones.

“It’s disappointing as well that none of her ‘family in the ballroom’ stuck up for her or spoke out. She’s an incredible soul and has always been a friend to everyone. She deserved better,” Green went on.

The tribute welcomed back a handful of beloved former pro dancers who previously appeared on the show, but not Burgess. The touching moment was choreographed by married pros Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson.

Green added in the caption, “She wasn’t even invited to sit in the stands and watch. Shame on that group of people. Kindness is an action, and so is love ❤️ Cheryl Burke should have been there as well.”

Burke, who retired from the show last year after 26 seasons, seemingly approved his message, as she left three praying hand emojis in the comments.

Burke posted her own emotional Instagram tribute to Goodman on Tuesday prior to the show’s dedicated dance where she let fans know she would not be returning to the ballroom but did not reveal why.

Burgess, a Mirrorball trophy winner, also addressed Green’s post Wednesday in her own Instagram Story, writing, “My man has seen me be super upset (again) about the show I love. last night was hard and he listened to me while I shared my heart. I haven’t made a single comment publicly about the tribute because of a few reasons. Firstly. know it’s not about me it’s about Len and the honor he deserved.”

“Secondly, this hurt more than not being asked back and I’m working through it, thirdly sharing feelings on here often gets met with a few negative people who believe I didn’t deserve to be there anyway. so why open myself up to it?”

Burgess added that she “cried tears of celebration and joy and gratitude” while watching the “stunning” tribute, while reminding fans that “two things can be true.”

“I can love and support the show, feel joy for those who were there, and also feel sad about me not being there,” she concluded.

The Post has contacted reps for ABC, Green, Burgess, and Burke for comment.

“Dancing With the Stars” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC or streaming on Hulu.
