Broadneck girls’ lacrosse reaches state final, gets closer to history

Broadneck’s Sienna Miller lobbed a pass to Olivia Orso, who jumped to catch the ball and then shot it before landing for an alley-oop goal.

The play, which came late in the Bruins’ 16-8 win over Whitman in Friday’s Maryland Class 4A girls’ lacrosse semifinal at Severna Park, held more significance than style points. Former players perfected the play and passed it down, Miller explained, calling it a “Broadneck lacrosse special.”
