OWINGS MILLS, Md. — Broadneck and Urbana girls’ lacrosse repeated the same dance throughout Thursday’s Maryland 4A state championship, with the former building a lead only to see the latter whittle it down.
Again and again, the Bruins clawed ahead, seeming to seize control. And again and again, the Hawks reintroduced uncertainty. But the end of the night featured a familiar sight: Broadneck’s players jumping up and down with the state trophy — its fourth straight — after a 10-9 win at Stevenson University’s Mustang Stadium.
