NAPLES, Fla. — A brand-new luxury boutique hotel is headed to the Naples Design District.
“I think it’s going to be a great addition to what we have here in Naples. It’s going to be a great re-face for this whole area,” said Ivo Milanoski, the owner of Turco Taco, which is just a few blocks from the site.
On Wednesday, August 23, the City of Naples’ Design Review Board approved construction for a 3-story, 18-room hotel located along 9th St. N.
The building’s proposed amenities include 30,000 square feet of space, a downstairs restaurant, an upstairs bar, and a second-floor pool.
“There’s a certain level of excitement, absolutely. Naples is growing every day. We love to be a part of the local scene. Being born and raised here, it’s cool to see the evolution of Naples,” said Brooklyn Dough owner Nick Nadvit.
Only the preliminary drafted plan has been approved thus far. According to the Design Review Board’s (DRM) official proceedings, lights, the buildings’ trim, and even a proposed underground parking facility will be discussed at a later date.
“This isn’t a little fishing town anymore. It’s getting bigger, brighter, and better. People want to move here. It’s a destination for people, so it’s exciting,” Nadvit added.
A final construction date has not been set.
