Cardiff Farmer’s Market will hold a Kids Day on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. filled with creative learning opportunities for children and their families. The event will feature activities for all ages, including the Little Buds Nature Club, face painting, arts & crafts, and a workshop with Girls Empowerment Movement and Support (GEMS).

Little Buds Nature Club (LBNC) will host an outdoor education workshop designed for young learners ages 3-7 and their families, according to a news release. LBNC promotes the natural benefits of learning and playing outside while exploring various natural ecosystems throughout greater San Diego. The 40-minute workshop at 10 a.m. will include a fun sing-along for the whole family, a simple nature-inspired craft for children to take home, and an introduction to the Principles of Permaculture. Led by founder Samantha Brooks, an educator passionate about sustainable living and outdoor education, LBNC offers an enriching experience that fosters a healthy relationship with nature.

Kids Day at Cardiff Farmer’s Market will also feature:

● A special workshop with Girls Empowerment Movement and Support (GEMS): Join sessions for girls from 5th – 8th grade to inspire confidence and empower young girls through fun and interactive activities. The all-day workshops will allow girls to craft a “Jar of Celebration,” a special jar that girls can decorate that helps incorporate the practice of expressing gratitude and celebrating themselves.

● Face painting: Transform into your favorite animal, superhero, or character with custom face painting.

● Bubbles: Kids can enjoy and pop bubbles throughout the day around the market.

● Arts & Crafts: Head to the arts & crafts table to participate in various activities that will bring little imaginations to life.
