COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — Collier County residents will experience a higher utility bill in February.
Collier County Water Sewer District will implement a rate changes for water, wastewater, irrigation quality water, and wholesale potable water services on Jan 1.
The increase will be of 9 percent for water, 9.5 percent for sewer, and 9.5 percent for irrigation quality water and will be reflected in the February bill.
According to Collier County, these changes come due to a rise in operating and maintenance costs.
Residential customers with a three-quarter-inch meter and usage of 5,000 gallons of water will pay $50.43 for water service, representing an increase of $4.18 per month.
Residential customers with a three-quarter-inch meter and usage of 5,000 gallons will pay $78.22 for sewer service, representing an increase of $6.78 per month.
