FORT MYERS, Fla. — Volunteers are helping homebound seniors prepare for hurricane season.

Community Cooperative teamed up with Florida Power & Light (FPL) to pack more than 450 hurricane preparedness kits. They’re delivering them to local seniors enrolled in their Meals on Wheels program.

The kits have three days of shelf-stable food, water and snacks for folks who aren’t able to pick up these supplies.
