Journalism is fundamental to democracy, and it’s critical that the next generation be informed.
The “Spectrum News Challenge” is designed to foster news literacy and celebrate the pursuit of higher education.
This year on the “Spectrum News Challenge,” we are celebrating and testing the knowledge of amazing student leaders taking part in high school organizations and clubs across the United States. Sixteen teams started in the competition. But only one was crowned the “Spectrum News Challenge” champion and took home the prize of $15,000.
In the final round, North Carolina students from Team Computer Scientists competed against Florida students from Team Model U.N.
