FORT MYERS, Fla. — Over 200 enthusiastic runners gathered on the sandy shores of Fort Myers Beach to participate in a 5K run organized by Beach Talk Radio on Sunday morning.

The event aimed to raise funds for the island community and support the FMB Strong initiative.

The air was filled with the sounds of cheers and encouragement as they made their way through the course.

After crossing the finish line, the participants were thrilled to learn that the event had raised more than $7,000 for the cause.

Overall winners of the race were Gustavo Manso from Lehigh Acres with a time of 18:42 and Amanda Lee from Fort Myers coming in at 23:18.

It was a great day of exercise, community spirit, and generosity.
