On Jan. 20, 2024, Disneyland is set to begin limiting one of the most loved perks for guests of Disneyland hotel properties: early entry.
A perk available to guests at the Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, early entry gives room-key holders access to rides at Disneyland and California Adventure 30 minutes before the parks are open to the general public at 8 a.m. That might not sound like much, but 30 minutes in a nearly empty park makes the difference between a no-wait ride (or three) on Space Mountain and an hourlong wait.
The Disneyland Resort has announced that on Jan. 20, however, only one park — not both — will offer early entry each day. If hotel guests want to take advantage of the perk, they’ll be forced to buy a ticket specifically for the park that is designated for early entry that day (or designate their Park Hopper ticket to start at the early-entry park).
