San Diego Padres starting pitcher Dylan Cease threw the team’s second no-hitter in franchise history earlier this season.
It’s a moment Paul Jimenez and the team at Ground Floor Murals wanted to capture ever since, to immortalize the historic achievement versus the Nationals in Washington, D.C. on July 25. Now they have; Jimenez and his partner Signe Ditona have finished their latest creation, one among a series of Padres murals featuring star players and standout franchise moments.
“We finally found a wall and funding to paint a mural, and it’s here in Chula Vista near where we live,” Jimenez said.
The Cease mural is on the outside wall of California Holistics off East H Street in Chula Vista. California Holistics paid for the mural, Jimenez said, adding that their murals are usually funded by the Padres or the business where the mural is painted.
Here is the list of all the Padres murals by Ground Floor Murals and where fans can find them to visit and take their own photos with the art.
