The Encinitas Chamber of Commerce invites all to attend its 60th Anniversary Celebration and Awards Dinner on Oct. 24 at ICA North. This special evening, hosted by CBS 8 personality and Encinitas native Jeff Zevely, will shine a spotlight on the remarkable businesses and nonprofits that embody the spirit of the vibrant Encinitas community. Zevely, a San Dieguito High School alumnus, was recently inducted into the Mustang Hall of Fame in 2024, honoring his achievements and contributions to Encinitas, according to a news release.
This milestone celebration will commemorate six decades of fostering local commerce and community connections, serving as a heartfelt tribute to those who have shaped Encinitas. The evening will feature a dinner and awards ceremony recognizing local businesses and charities that have made a lasting impact. Encinitas Mayor Tony Kranz and city council members will attend along with state congressional representatives.
The awards will celebrate excellence in several categories, including Outstanding Community Partner, Nonprofit Partner, Small Business, Large Business, Volunteer, Arts & Culture Partner, Chamber Champion, Green Business, and Health & Wellness Business. Winners will be revealed during the evening, with voting having been open to the community over the past few months.
The event runs from 5 p.m.-7:30 p.m. A reception and dinner event will be held from 5 p.m.-6 p.m., and the awards ceremony will run from 6 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. The celebration will be held at ICA North, 1578 S El Camino Real, Encinitas (The Garden at the Education Pavilion). Guests will indulge in mouthwatering paella, “edible art” prepared live at the event by the artisan Paella of San Diego Paul’s Paellas, enjoy vibrant live entertainment from local musician Brianna Grace, and witness local artist Taylor Gallegos capturing the magic of the celebration on canvas as it unfolds.
