In a heartwarming finale to their 2023-2024 fiscal year, the Encinitas Coastal Rotary Community Service Committee donated $6,000 to several deserving local charities. This contribution is part of a larger effort, with the committee donating over $26,000 throughout the year to support and uplift vital community programs, according to a news release.

These funds benefit the San Diego Botanical Garden, St. Andrew’s Church Breakfast Program, Solutions for Change, Shades of Pink California, Meals on Wheels, and the San Diego Humane Society. Each organization plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for community residents.

The committee’s dedication throughout the year ensured that the donations reached initiatives where they would make the most meaningful difference. From providing meals to those in need and supporting cancer patients, to helping families overcome homelessness and caring for animals, these funds will fuel positive change across Encinitas, the news release stated.

The Encinitas Coastal Rotary’s commitment to service and community support is evident in its thoughtful selection of these charities. By addressing a wide range of needs, it demonstrates the power of collective effort and compassion in creating a better, stronger community for all.
