Nabbing a table at San Francisco’s Atelier Crenn is no easy feat. Reservations for the $475 three-Michelin-starred tasting menu book up months in advance, and you can pay hundreds of dollars just to buy someone else’s reservation on a resale site.
So if you’re sick of playing the reservation game, maybe Dominique Crenn’s restaurant group’s new $3,800 membership program is a price you’re willing to pay. Called the Crenn Collection, the membership guarantees you reservations at both Atelier Crenn and Bar Crenn whenever you please (with 72 hours of notice), reported the San Francisco Standard.
The Crenn Collection membership originally debuted in 2021 but was brought back this month with the recent completion of renovations at Atelier Crenn and Bar Crenn, according to Eater.
At $3,800 per year for a single membership and $5,800 for a dual one, the cost is nothing to sneeze at. But it does get you more than just those coveted reservations. The price of the membership also includes four member-exclusive “bespoke events” throughout the year, such as a private winery tour, a picnic at Atelier Crenn’s Bleu Belle Farm, a spirits tasting at Bar Crenn and a winemaker dinner, a Crenn Dining Group representative told SFGATE.
Members also get priority access to all Crenn events, chef series and pop-ups (to book at an additional cost), as well as a seasonal gift box and a dedicated “Crenn concierge service.”
The price of the membership does not go toward the cost of a $475 Atelier Crenn meal.
Other San Francisco restaurants have tried out membership programs as well, including Cassava in North Beach, with its $72 per month membership, and controversial NFT-based restaurant Sho Club, which made headlines last year for selling $300,000 memberships but has since gone silent.
