Injuries were reported Thursday morning following a report of an explosion in the Wilmington area.
Firefighters responded to the explosion call at about 7 a.m. in the 1100 block of North Alameda Street in the South Bay community.
Three firefighters were hospitalized with at least two in critical condition. Other people were being assessed for injuries at the scene.
Details about the explosion, possibly involving a compressed natural gas tank on a truck, and injuries were not immediately available. Video from NewsChopper4 showed several fire engines at the scene and the wreckage of a truck.
