Shaky Knees in Atlanta is getting in early on the hype for next year’s festival season, announcing Foo Fighters, Weezer, and Noah Kahan as headliners for 2024.
The three-day event will take place May 3 through 5 at Central Park in downtown Atlanta. The lineup leans heavily on rock and alternative acts, including Queens of the Stone Age, the Offspring, Young the Giant, Girl in Red, Billy Idol, Portugal. The Man, Interpol, Royal Blood, Waxahatchee, Dinosaur Jr., Miike Snow, Del Water Gap, Holly Humberstone, Chicano Batman, Yves Tumor, Metric, the Revivalists, and Matt and Kim.
Arcade Fire have also notably received second-line billing for the festival’s opening night. The band has continued touring and playing festivals even after frontman Win Butler was accused of sexual misconduct by several women in 2022. Butler has admitted to having extramarital relationships but insisted all the encounters were consensual.
A full lineup is available on the Shaky Knees website, where three-day or single-day passes will be available via pre-sale starting Nov. 30 at 10 a.m. ET (fans can sign up now for the pre-sale password). A general on sale will be announced at a later date if any tickets are still available.
For Foo Fighters, the Shaky Knees festival will come ahead of a massive summer stadium tour the band has scheduled for next year, kicking off in July and stretching through August. Weezer also have some summer touring plans already scheduled, with a run of shows in Ireland and the U.K. alongside the Smashing Pumpkins on the books for June.
And while headlining festivals is old hat at this point for Foo Fighters and Weezer, it’s still a relatively new experience for Kahan. The singer-songwriter has enjoyed a wildly successful breakout year thanks to his hit album Stick Season (and its accompanying title track), as well as high-profile collaborations with Kacey Musgraves and Post Malone. Kahan will spend much of 2024 on the road as well, with dates scheduled in Australia, Europe, the U.K., and North America.
