You’re going to want a jacket as you head out the door this morning — we’re off to a brisk and breezy start!
Temperatures fell to the 50s in many locations by sunrise this morning. While we’ve had cooler weather than that already this fall, the strong breeze at 10-20mph out of the NNE, is making it feel even chillier out there early on this morning. Full sunshine will help to warm us up as we work thorugh the morning and into the afternoon, but the strong north wind will stick around through the day — leveling off tempeatures in the upper 70s and low 80s this afternoon. No rain is expected today.
Friday will be a tad warmer and still breezy with highs in the mid 80s. Winds will subside, and temperatures will climb, as we head into the weekend. It will be a pleasant weekend overall with highs in the mid 80s, plenty of sunshine, and little-to-no rain to get in the way of your outdoor plans.
Tracking the tropics:
The NHC continues to montior an area of low pressure in the Caribbean Sea. It remains highly disorganized this morning, and has only a low chance to develop into a tropical depression prior to moving onshore in central America this weekend. It is not a threat to us locally regardless of development.
Hurricane season will come to a close at the end of the month.
