We are tracking a potent cold front arriving Monday morning.
A couple of showers are possible Sunday night before the front passes. It will continue to be mainly cloudy overnight and muggy. Lows are in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
Monday starts off mostly cloudy, with clouds clearing first in Desoto and Charlotte County and then following south through Collier.
Temperatures will reach for 80 mid-day, but I wouldn’t be surprised if some backyards stayed in the 70s. Humidity and temperatures will be decreasing on Monday night helping it to feel more comfortable in the evening. You’ll need to have a jacket or sweater ready for Tuesday.
By Tuesday morning, lows will have fallen into the upper 50s for inland SWFL. The coast will also be cool in the lower 60s. Tuesday’s forecast won’t feature much sunshine and it will stay cooler during the day.
Tracking the Tropics
We are in the final few days of the official hurricane season and are not tracking any areas for potential development.
