We’re waking up the coolest weather of the season this morning across SWFL, as temperatures have fallen into the 50s for the first time since March!
Sunrise temperatures ranged from the low 60s at the coast to the lower 50s inland this morning — about 15° for the date! The cool, crisp air will stick aroud through the day today, though full sunshine will help temperatures to climb to highs in the middle 70s for most. No rain is expected today, and a steady norther breeze at about 10mph will keep things feeling very comfortable.
After another morning in the 50s Wednesday, a warming trend will take hold. We’ll still be below average though with highs in the mid and low 80s and low in the lower 60s through the weekend. Another cold front will try to kick up a few downpours and storms Friday — otherwise expect dry weather and sunny weather!
Tracking the tropics:
After Sean dissipated Sunday there are no longer any active storms in the Atlantic. The National Hurricane Center is monitoring a wave in the east Atlantic that has a high chance to develop as it nears the Caribbean later this week. If it takes a name, it would be Tammy. It is not a threat to Florida.
Hurricane season continues through November.
