We’re in a dry weather pattern this week, which will also turn out to be quite comfortable. The winds between Hurricane Tammi in the Atlantic and a ridge of High Pressure in the northeast will be from the east-northeast much of the week.

You can count on breezy conditions too, so when your trash days come, be sure to grab the can lids before they end up in your neighbor’s yard.

We’re talking 10-20 mph winds during the afternoon, which will warm us to the upper 80s during the day with comfortable humidity. The downside is that there’s no rain in the forecast, other than a stray sprinkle or shower that rides the breeze from the east coast. The grass will be getting crunchy and the fire danger will be high this week.

There’s no significant rain coming to Southwest Florida over the next week, so you’ll have to water the plants and the lawn.

Tracking the Tropics:

Hurricane Tammy is still a Cat 1 with 75 mph winds as of 5 p.m. Monday. Tammy is tracking north and will not come towards Southwest Florida.

Tropical Depression 21 formed at 5 p.m. Monday and will not make it to the light of day Tuesday. TD 21 has 30 mph winds and already is almost into the Carribean, where it will weaken.
