Most of the storms have been inland on Thursday, but storms could still pop up close to the coast through the evening. It will stay muggy and warm. We will dry out overnight, but the rain and t-storms will return once again on Friday.
Friday morning will start off with more clouds than sunshine and temperatures in the lower 70s. Rain chances will increase late morning, with storms moving in from the Gulf around lunchtime. T-storms will be scattered through the evening. Highs will be near 90.
Tracking the Tropics:
All the rain activity we have been experiencing is due to the recently formed Tropical Depression 2 in the Gulf. The depression could become a tropical storm late Thursday night or Friday, before it makes its descent south, where it is expected to fall apart. Read more about the impacts by clicking here.
