We are tracking spotty thunderstorms in Southwest Florida through Friday evening. Overnight, the sky will clear out and temperatures will fall into the mid-upper 70s by Saturday morning.
Saturday will start out nice and sunny, but it won’t last all day. Due to an elongated area of low pressure extending into SWFL, thunderstorms will be likely.
We will start to see a few thunderstorms develop near I-75 late in the morning/early afternoon. The rain will be scattered throughout the area through most of the evening before backing off. With that being said, some sunshine will also try to mix in throughout the day and highs will make it into the lower-mid 90s.
The low pressure will try to lift north of the area on Sunday, which will keep the coast somewhat drier. The chance of rain will be near 40% with higher chances further inland.
We will track another frontal system which will give us additional cloud cover and storms next week. plus, temperatures will be slightly cooler!
