It’s going to be another warm day for late October today. 

We started the day with another comfortable morning, as temperatuers dipped into the 60s in most spots. Temperatures will climb quickly from there under mainly sunny skies, with highs reaching the middle and upper 80s by the afternoon. A few showers will try to bubble up on the sea breeze this afternoon as it sets in just east of I-75, but most spots will look to stay dry. There will be a light breeze out of the ENE at 10mph or so as well. 

The mainly dry, sunny weather will continue for Halloween tomorrow. Look for another sun-filled afternoon with highs in the upper 80s. No need for a coat as you  head out trick-or-treating tomorrow evening either, as temperatures will settle into the upper 70s in the hours after sunset. 

A cold front will dive into the area Wednesday. While it will struggle to produce any rain, it will bring cooler, more comfortable weather for the back half of the week as highs settle back into the lower 80s. Thursday morning will be a cool one in particular with lows in the lower 60s and upper 50s. Windy conditions will return as well, with 10-20mph winds out of the NE through Friday. 

Tracking the tropics:

While there are no named storms in the Atlantic right now, there are two areas the NHC is monitoring this morning. 

The first is an area of low pressure sitting NE of the Bahamas. It could become a short-lived tropical depression today, but will encounter high wind shear and dry air as a cold front overtakes it late tomorrow. Regardless it will not bring any impacts to the United States.

Another are of low pressure is located in the eastern Caribbean Sea. It will head westward over the very warm Caribbean waters, and has a medium chance to become a tropical depression or tropical storm as it does so. It will be in the vicinity of Central America by the weekend, and could at the very least throw some tropical moisture our way next week. We’ll be watching this one closely, so stay tuned for updates.
