It’s been a chilly week for SWFL, but we’re back to warmer than average weather as we close out the week today and head into and through the weekend.
Temperatures this morning are running about 10°-15° higher than they were on Thursday morning, with most settling into the mid 60s at sunrise. With partly cloudy skies those numbers will climb quickly as we head through the morning and into the afternoon, reaching highs in the middle 80s. While it will be a bit muggier, no rain is expected today.
The warm weather will stick around for the weekend as well. Expect plenty of sunshine both Saturday and Sunday with a steady south breeze pumping in warm tropical air. Highs will each the middle 80s both afternoons. Rain chances will stay low, though a few showers will be possible, especially Sunday afternoon.
Another cold front will dive into the area Monday — and this will help to usher in a fresh shot of chilly air by the middle of next week.
