Forward progress stopped after fire burns over a dozen acres east of Dehesa

Forward progress was stopped on a brush fire that burned about 13 acres of grassland east of Dehesa on Wednesday, according to Cal Fire officials.

The brush fire that broke out around 4:30 p.m. quickly burned several acres southwest of Loveland Dam near Sloane Canyon Road, Cal Fire officials said on X, formerly known as Twitter. No homes were threatened.

Firefighters attacked the blaze with a combination of ground personnel and aircraft, officials said.

Around 5:45 p.m., firefighters said forward progress had been stopped.
